This happens to
be my first blog ever. I am writing about my internship that I started today.
My summer internship is about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search
Engine Marketing (SEM) which involves building strategies, creating system,
programming, and web-designing. I will be working at Huston's Mergers and Acquisitions and Interchange Minus
Let’s talk about how I started my day. I took MARTA (public transportation in Atlanta) from my host family’s house to my school to meet my boss there and his co-worker with whom we will be working together. We planned to go to City Club of Buckhead to have breakfast first, however, my idea of Flying Biscuit was a great way to start our breakfast especially because my boss also likes Flying Biscuit's breakfast. So, I hoped in his car to go at Flying Biscuit, and he immediately goes “Welcome to first day of your life.” I was excited and nervous at the same time because it was both serious that I was actually going to work with somebody that I have not worked with before. Also, this is the first time, I am actually working. This is the time that I am given only few directions and I have to figure out rest of the project myself in a given time constraint.
I
cannot procrastinate. I cannot be lazy. I cannot afford to be distracted. Just
focus and keep working. It is not like school
work where I can pull up my grades in my coming exams, paper or any other extra
credit works. What I perform is what I get. So I am little bit nervous too.
However, more than that I am excited about the project that I will be creating.
I am assigned to complete my first project of systematic creation of various
SEO techniques. After I create that, I will have to co-work with my boss to
train more than 60 people in Philippines. So I cannot stop and mess around.
My short
internship description happens to my first blog. I will keep everyone updated
about my internship. Also I will be posting other stuffs related to anything.
